This is my first serious attempt at over-clocking a CPU, and after 1 day I’ve managed to get to 2.7GHz (300x9) Orthos stable for 9 hours and counting. Most of the guides I read said to set the FSB to DRAM ratio to 1:1. When I run CPU-Z and go to the memory tab, it says the FSB is 300MHz there also.

Is this how it’s supposed to read? I thought it should be double because of the dual-channel. I know before when I was trying, I left the ratio on auto, the memory FSB said 600 once. Should I change it to 1:2, or am I okay where I’m at?

I think I have mine set at 1:1 and I'm getting a stable 3.0 GHz overclock on my e4300.

i have my ratio set on a 2:1.

think that puts my 800mhz ram at 700. the big thing i do is try to keep the ram between 667 and 800 all the time, i only really stress the cpu and FSB

CPUZ shows actual rate. Double that for dual data rate (DDR). Your RAM is at DDR2-600.
