E173FP ghosting issues

recenty i bought a new dell E173FP. ive had it for about a month now, and recently ive been getting some major ghosting in windows. i have the resoloution set at 1280x1024@70hz, 32bit color. i dont understand why it is ghosting. its not connected to any type of extension cable or kvm, just directly to the vga out on my video card. i really want to figure this out, especially considering this is new and i paid a fair ammount of money for it. any help is appreciated. thanks. --tom
 
it is ghostingf because it has too slow of a response time.
That is a 25ms monitor, you want 16ms or faster if you dont want ghosting.
 
i personnaly dont own a lcd, someone here said that lcds ghost when it becomes colder out. I dont use heat and love the cold. but i use a crt as I type this it is 31F in my room now and i am on a crt so i dont notice this

I had read 25 somewhere.

After gooling it I see 16 AND 25.
Dell doesnt seem to say anywhere :confused:
 
Is this ghosting as in a blur when you drag things or ghost like edges around things like text?

If it's like the second one I said, auto adjust (if it has that) might help make it sharp again. Might take a couple times from my exprience with the 20inch widescreen lcd on vga
