E-mail address posted to internet.. Borked?

My boss, in all his infinite wisdom, posted his email address in a job advertisement in an online advertiser. Since this brain fart, he has recieved thousands of spam emails, up to the point it crashed his phone lol

The e-mail address has since been removed from the ad, but the damage has already been done.

As far as I know, that address is now fucked, yes? There is no true way to prevent the spammers from targeting him now is there? He is literally getting thousands of spam emails a day now.

Time for new e-mail address or are there options?

You just need a decent spam filter.

Eventually you can count on your address being discovered by a spam-bot.
