I've got my RMA all set up and will be shipping it soon but I'm curious as to if anybody else ever had this problem.

My MSI Twin Frozr superhypermegawhatever 6950 will artifact like CRAZY when rendering a scene with tessellation. Everything else is perfectly fine. I would of not even noticed if I hadn't been bored and installed the 3dmark test included with the card. The card will not crash out either. It will just display whacked out stuff indefinitely.

Never heard of that before... but I guess it could be that the tessellators could be having trouble. That would be my first guess if its seriously just in DX11 with Tessellation enabled.

I've noticed some artifacting in Crysis2 with the DX11 patch.. I figured it was due to the unlocked shaders being iffy on my 6950  :D

The MSI R6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC features the latest graphics technology from AMD designed to support all the features of Microsoft DirectX 11 and DirectCompute 11. The new GPU’s are built in AMD’s 40nm process to deliver high performance with low power consumption.

Uhhh okay then?

I've actually never heard of that happening before, that's a pretty specific failure right there.

I'd guess driver bug before hardware failure in a case so specific as this

I wouldn't be surprised if the new DX11 Crysis 2 patch messes with some radeon cards. The next catalyst, 11.8, is already stated to improve performance on 5xxx/6xxx cards, and maybe they will do some fixing in the process too
