DVI or VGA?

My monitor supports both. I currently have my PC and Xbox plugged into my monitor, it has two inputs. I'm currently using a standard VGA cable with two DVI -> VGA adapters. should I buy an actual DVI cable? Will I see a difference if I do? I've got a 7800gt with a DVI output on it too.
 
For resolutions above 1280x1024, you will definetly see a difference using DVI. At 1280x1024 and below, it's dependant on the screen and / or your eyesight.
 
DVI is always better. Sharper pic no need to adjust a thing.

Digital to digital instead of digital signal converted to analog.

Not sure where you get this “no need to adjust a thing” thing.

I have yet to see any monitor even close to being calibrated properly out of the box.

Go DVI and take the time to calibrate your new monitor.
 
This Viewsonic needed no adjustments out of the box, slap the dvi cable on & bam...


guess you bought the wrong lcd....

I said the Viewsonic VA712B I have required no calibration of any kind, right out of the box I set it up DVI & the screen adjusted itself in a matter of seconds.

Any monitor is NOT what I said.

Some one has to tell people the truth...........your opinion is just that, only your opinion. I do my best to base information on facts, you don't seem to bother with that part. :rolleyes:
