DVI Inputs suddenly stopped working?

I've been running my current setup of an XFX 5850 and a Samsung 26" T260 through the first DVI input for roughly one month with no issues. So today I received my old monitor back from ebay (it was broken and refunded) so I wanted to hook that up and find out what happened to it from shipping. Ok no big deal. So I disconnect everything from the video card and use my current DVI cable and power cord onto the old monitor. No problems (still didn't work, but nothing I didn't already suspect anyways). So I disconnect and get everything to hook back up as normal. Turn on the computer, same as always. But doesn't work. My monitor is just going through each input (analog, digital, and HDMI) over and over again with nothing coming up on the screen. So I check and recheck my connections. Everything is hooked up properly, so I try again. Same problem.

So at this point I'm gettin quite frustrated. So I go take my monitor onto my brothers computer. Take the same power and DVI cable. Hook it up, presto, works like a charm on his. So I take it back to my computer to try again. Nothing. I try the other DVI input. Nothing. I try a DVI/VGA cable. DVI into video card, VGA into monitor. Nothing. I try and HDMI cord... that works!!!! So at the very least I can get my computer to work as normal having it hooked up through HDMI.

Now the question is, what happened? Did my DVI input just suddenly take a nose dive into electronic hell? Did I screw something up when I hooked up that other monitor and then back to the new one? I'm trying to figure it all out, but have no other ideas but the DVI inputs just stopped functioning. I'm hoping someone on here can be of some help because my only option is to e-mail XFX and get a new card. I can deal with using HDMI, just would rather it be fixed so when I sell it in the future I don't have any issues. So please help me!!!!
