I posted this in the display sec. but maybe someone here can help.
I have a 9800Pro and a GeForce6800 both have a VGA and a DVI-I port on the back.
When I hook up a NEC 1970GX LCD monitor thru VGA to VGA I get a picture just fine.
But when I use the DVI-D male (both ends) cable that came with the monitor I get nothing.
I plug one of the DVI-D male ends into the DVI-I female on the back of the video card and plug the other DVI-D male end into the DVI-D female on the back of the monitor, and all I get is "NO DVI SIGNAL " and a black screen.
It seems like the video cards just are not sending a signal to the DVI-I port at all ?
I have gone into the displays control panel and actavated the second monitor but it just dosn't activate the NEC LCD Monitor on the DVI port ?
Can I make the DVI port the #1 port the computer checks or is it somthing else ?
Any Help please ?
