yeah, i was checking specs, and my bba 9800 has dvi-i (one with the extra 4 holes) and my newly ordered monitor has dvi-d, whats the difference and will it matter what type of cable i use?

DVI-I is digital and analog, or integrated, DVI-D is digital only. I’m not aware of any cables that won’t work with your setup. The idea behind the DVI-I is you can use an adaptor (one probably came with your card) for dual VGA output.
