DVD Ripper/Copier Rig???

im going to build a new compy for burning dvds. i just need to know what dvd-rom to use for ripping, and what dvd-r burner i should get. im looking for something in the middle, not too $$$ but i want it to be kinda fast. i was recomemnded the Toshiba 1812 for ripping, just getting better firmware. and the burner i only want to be a 8x at the most. thanks
