I just finish building a computer w/ a nforce2 from asus with a IGP and whenever i play DVD's random lines would appear on the screen. Im using a hp f1503 lcd monitor and i used all the drivers it came with the cds.

is the drivers at fault or codecs?

If it only happens when watching DVD's I'm tempted to say it's the codec. Can't hurt to update your video card drivers though.

On another note, how come the playback isnt as crisp as on a televsion...? I've always wondered this, i've got a 9800pro with powerdvd and it looks just as good as it did with my 9000pro? Any suggestions?

beats me, im still figuring out why mine is like that...still waiting on the website to go up
