I've got a new TDK indiDVD burner that works fine when it's connected internally. (It is an internal writer btw.)
When I pulled it out to install it in a firewire external case, I can seem to get WINXP Pro to recognize the drive.
I've tried the drive in 2 external firewire cases, with no luck.
The cases are in working condition because they have no problems when a 40 gb hdd is connected to them. WINXP "sees" the hard drives but not the dvd-burner.
Any help here would be appreciated...

I wanted to put the dvd-burner in an external case, because my cd-rw burns cd's faster and I'm not burning as many videos as I thought I would.
