dvd burner acting weird, no autoplay

Hey all,
I have a Lite-On 8x DVD burner, Windows XP. My autoplay stopped working after I had to re-install my Audigy drivers and it installed the Creative Quickstart which is like a crappy replacement for Autoplay. I have uninstalled the offending software, but my autoplay still dosn't work on that drive. When I check the drive's properties, I see the autoplay tab and I can configure it. Is there some way to fix autoplay for this drive?
 
Sorry, I also forgot to mention that the drive won't eject using the button on the front. I have to press the button, then access the drive in Explorer, and then it will eject. Weird problems. Any ideas? Should I just re-install the drive?
