Whenever I backup a certain DVD to my hard drive I get the following error when trying to open it/burn it with either CloneDVD or DVD Shrink:

Failed to open file "C:\Documents and Settings\****\movie\VIDEO_TS.IFO"
The system cannot find the file specified.

wtf?

it with either

being the operative words, and you access it with anything else?

in other words, you need to determine if its a software problem
either with the rip, or with the burn or

a HDD problem where there is corrupted sectors (chkdsk /f)

or an interface problem where the data is mangled in transit from the burn to the HDD
or when being read from the HDD (run a checksum on files your copying around)

Corruption 101
eliminate the hardware and your at some sort of software issue
