Ok I have 2 sun 21" monitors in dualview with my 6800gt. Anyway, I was wondering If i can extend my taskbar across both screens without using horizontal span.

I would like more space cause I don't like the stacking of firefox tabs for example on the taskbar if you understand what I'm tying to say.

as a last resort I guess I could just make the taskbar taller.

thanks for any help

There's software that allows you to do it. Ultramon is what I use for it. Has some other nice features as well.

Yeah, Ultramon adds it own taskbar to the second monitor.
It's what I use as well.

I have to agree with the two posters above me, I'd go with Ultramon too. It has a buch of really nice stuff not just the second taskbar.

Not really an answer to your question, but why do you have multiple firefox windows open? There should only be one window in the taskbar, and multiple tabs in that window.
