dual PSUs?

havent seen anything like that for personal computing.. I'm sure large server cases will support 2 psus....

if you have a computer junkyard anywhere near your house you might want to check it out, you might get lucky and find something usefull

A Lian-Li PC70 has room for two PSU's.
You will just have to make/ buy/ mod the removeable back plate so you can attach them both.

Luck..... :D

Nothing special

3 IDE hdds, and one SCSI.

DVD writer drive

+the usual stuff.

ive got 2 PSU's wired together myself,

one 250w ibm slaved to generic 300w primary.
the ibm PSU runs ALL the fans , 2 hd's , one dvd burner and a
cd burner.
the 300w runs ONLY the mobo and video card.

works great

you should be able to get more out of that 300w. its robably b/c its generic. at my house the computer my old folks have has a 300, it powers, mobo w/ p4, cd-rw, dvd, 1 hdd(have had 2 in there) no problem w/ power to spare.

the 300w ran the whole system , but i didnt feel like spending $$
on a new PSU , so i wired 2 together.

at least this way , i know for a fact that my vidcard and mobo are getting more juice than they need ,
and besides , i have a huge server case , so i gots the room.:D

and i gots a UPS with AVR , so i have ZERO power issues

the point of wiring the 2 PSU's together , was that it could be done for no cost to me , since i had the 250w as a spare,
and i wanted to see if i could do it :D

I've got two in my case as well. I was having some instability problems about a year ago that I thought were power related so I took an older PS and connected 3 out of 4 fans to it and both my optical drives.

I just set the 2nd PSU at the bottom of my case and shimned it in so it couldn't touch the MB.
