Dual display quest: Same resolution different sizes.

I have an HP 23" and a Dell 24" which both have the same resolution. However, because of the different screen sizes the images are sized differently as they spans across both screens. Ideally what I would like to do is to have the monitors match up from top to bottom. Since my taskbar is at the bottom of the 24", the top of it lines up fairly closely with the bottom of the 23" so ideally I would streatch the image displaying on my 23" and chop the last 1/2" inch or so off. Anyone know if this is doable?
