dual display on crossfire

I have a plasma setup as a clone display on my current system and I'm adding another 4850 in crossfire. Currently, my computer monitor and TV are both plugged into the single 4850. When I add the second one and crossfire it, should I move one display to each card or leave it the same? Does it matter?

One my previous CFX setup (2x 4870x2), I had both displays on the same GPU and I think that's the standard setup for Crossfire.

you can have it on either, it doesn't really matter (at least i don't think it did on my 3870 xfire setup) as long as you only use 2 monitors maximum.

Crossfire has a maximum of 2 monitors, and I believe you have to connect them to your primary card (usually 1st PCI-E 16x slot). Make sure your primary monitor is connected to the primary card or you wont get a display on boot up.

Yes, you can have it on either card but it does make a difference because if you put them on the secondary card, you won't see the POST screen at all and will only get a video signal once you boot into Windows. If on the primary GPU, you'll have the normal video signal from POST thru Windows.

great thanks for the tip. it made more logical sense to keep them both on the primary card but since i haven't tried it before just wanted to make sure.
