Dual cpu dummy chip?

I recentely obtained a Asus dual board, and it has 1 p3 1ghz cpu on it. I'm new to dual boards, but the other "cpu" in the other socket doesnt look like a cpu really, doesnt have the die on it. Is this a dummy chip so you can run it with 1 cpu?

First time messing around with a dual board.
 
I will do this when I get home. Its a Asus board, dual socket 370, on chip on it is a P3 ghz, with the die. The other looks just like it, but no die, just like a circuit on top, and doesnt say intel anywhere on it.
 
It is called a terminator (like SCSI uses), and yes it is to be able to run a single CPU. Not all dual MB's need them (most don't these days) but it is not all that unusual.
