I'm trying to get my new main system dialed in. I had to upgrade after the untimely death of my beloved Max-3. I am running speedfan to keep track of voltages and temps and I noticed that there are two listings for core voltage A and B.

Is it normal for one to be higher than the other?

On mine VCoreB is always .05V higher than VCoreA.

Hmmm...
I'm using Speedfan v4.27 and I only see one listing under voltages for the cpu. It's listed as "CPU" and nothing more. Are you using an older version? You might also want to check if Speedfan supports your chipset on that Asrock board.

I'm also using version 4.27. I also get temperature readouts for both of the cores which read the same.

With SpeedFan 4.27

Vcore1: 1.54V
Vcore2: 1.18V

Dunno if it means anything or if it's just buggy, but it's stable.

Well, I'd have to say your speedfan isn't calibrated right if you are getting a .4V difference between the cores... you might have it reading some other unused voltage sensor instead.

As for the .05 difference from the OP, it's probably just the inaccuracy factor in the sensor. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Yeah, I was just wondering if some better built boards might be able to keep the voltages the same. I guess those boards don't report the individual voltages so there is no way to tell, or I'm not reading two voltages at all just the Vcore and something else.

Using 4.27 here on my main rig (in sig).
Get VCOREA: 1.78V, VCOREB: 4.08V
no idea what vcoreb is.
