I accidentally dropped my HV20 on the carpet
nothing broke
no cosmetic damage
internals fine
captures fine
transfers fine

should i exchange it at CC?
thanks

and when capturing from HDVSplit
what does packet loss mean?
why does it happen?

I fucked up and dropped something
Luckily nothing happened to it and I caught a break
Should I abuse a return/exchange policy?

apparently after reading, HDV transfers is a continuous stream of data so some packets of info get sent but are not received. This is the packet loss and is a loss because of the fact that a HDV transfer is continuous and hence a packet won't be resent.

so thats fine then

should use something else to capture then

and thats not what i said earlier

fixed the dropped packets

error with HDVsplit

had to change some settings
