What drivers should I load on a system with a GF2 GTS? The person doesn't play any games whatsoever, just stickin the card in becuase it was layin around.

doesn't really matter.
The Geforce 2's performance hasn't changed much since the 29.xx detonators.
Any driver you install will work the same in 2d for the most part.

might as well install the latest drivers from nvidia :)

Not so fast. The newest ForceWare drivers actually slow the performance of or cause other problems with anything other than a GeForce FX series card. It's sad to see that NVIDIA is tinkering with its drivers to improve the performance and stability with the GFFX cards, but leave users of older cards fending for themselves. The 45.23 Detonator XP driver is the latest that I would recommend for that GF2 GTS card, as the 5#.## ForceWare drivers actually slow the performance of older cards, even those as recent as the GF4 Ti 4800. (In fact, with the current 53.03 drivers, my old PNY Verto Ti 4400 performed as sluggishly as it did with the 28.32 drivers that originally came with that card.)

very interesting... i almost noticed this myself with a ti4200. glad to see some further insight.

I have a GF2 GTS here at work and use the 45.23's. Haven't had any problems but I don't use this computer to play games either. Just CAD work.
