Driver crash with BF4

Since switching to Windows 10, I've been having driver recovery happening when playing BF4. I play in DX11 mode. Running crossfire, stock clocks. It's the only game it happens in. There is no warning symptoms that something is amiss. Locks the game up, and I have to use task manager to end the process. It happens once every couple hours. Temps are good all around. Memory usage on system and GPU is normal.
I play 1440p @ ultra settings except msaa turned down to 2x.
Event viewer shows display driver crash/recovery. This has been this way since day one of Windows 10, and all driver revisions. Currently I'm using the 15.8 beta. Other than this issue, everything else is peachy.

Any ideas?

I get periodic crashes in Mantle mode, with the driver recovery only happening a couple times. This definitely seems to be a new issue introduced in 15.7 that is still lingering, because I rarely had crashes with 15.4

Hmm.
I never had a single issue with it prior to Windows 10. What card(s) are you running? I stopped using Mantle way back because it was choppy in Crossfire.

Using a single 7970 with windows 10. 15.7 was so bad that I installed 15.4 inside windows 10 even though it wasn't officially a windows 10 driver. 15.8 doesn't crash nearly as bad as 15.7, I'd say it crashes on me once or twice every couple days.

And you're probably getting choppy performance in Mantle because you're running ultra at 1440p with only 3GB VRAM. My guess is you'd need 4GB VRAM for Mantle at 1440p. At 1080p you'd probably be in the clear. You might be able to achieve that by just turning the resolution scale slider down. Of course that wouldn't look as good, so unless you really want to improve your minimum framerates then stick with DX11.

I'm not terribly worried about using Mantle. I simply added that as a comment. DX11 has always worked great for me, until the switch to Windows 10. I stay above 60fps 98% of the time.

It crashes on me once a day. It never does it again afterwards, but it's guaranteed to do it within the first two hours of playing BF4
