Drill bits for plexi/acrylic

Hey, I'm tired of cracking acrylic every time I try to drill a medium-sized hole. Does anyone know where I can get drill bits for plexi/acrylic? A stepped one would be even better. Any ideas?
 
This is right up my alley. I am going to let you in on a little secret. Your bits can easily be
modified for drilling plastic. Done it many many times myself.

Basically you want more a scraping action than digging. Which is what you get with a typical
unmodified metal bit.

Wow, that's amazing. I have some cheaper drill bits that are just dying for a new lease on life...sounds like the perfect "drill bit mod"
