What's with all the downtime on Hardforums lately? It's gone down about every other day for a while. Yesterday it said somethign about load errors, but it's gone down many times.

Not to worry, the forum was taken down for some maintenance as it has been several times in the last few weeks :)

You really can not complain about a free service:p

But, I pay for the subscription section, so I can shake my fist in anger, but, I won't, cuz shit happens. Call up your cable company everytime your cable is out for 1/2 a day, they will be like yeah so...:p
 
We did the refit in June and have been changing out hardware/software/servers ever since then....much of which has to have downtime. The test came last week when we had almost 2300 members and guests on at the same time and had no severe problems. That I would say is a testament to the work being in progress. :cool:

My cable NEVER goes out. Power goes out a lot though =*( I don't see why they don't just leve it alone. and why don't signatures show below posts? They did when I first joined here.

Don't use anything. Images aren't allowed in sigs because they are annoying and pointless.

Active links/graphics are not allowed in signatures. Image/link tags won't work in sigs because they've been disabled.

HTML is disabled forum-wide.
 
Yep, it's free and there is ALOT of traffic on this board but it does go down way too much and has ever since I've been coming here. As an example, Anand's board also has alot of users and posts and very seldom goes down. Hell, I don't care really. Lots of BBS's to go to but this one is pretty undependable as forums go.
