I am getting lines/dots were 2 textures meet. Its not everywhere, but in the same places. The only game were I have not found any of these lines, was in Farcry.

My system is:

A64 3200
Msi Neo Plat Mobo
6800gt (tried drivers 66.31, 65.76, and 61.77)
1 gig of Corsair pc3200
Windows XP Service Pack1

I think thats all the important stuff.

This just started happening one day, when i first built my system I had none of these lines/dots.

I've reformatted, but that did not help. Anyone have any suggestions?

Looks like a pretty clear cut case of artifacting. It looks like your card may be overheating.

Are you overclocked? Download RivaTuner, and go to the hardware monitor, leave it running in the background and play games for 30 minutes.

Quit out and look at the monitor and see your highest temp. Just quiting out of a game and look at the Nvidia control panel does NOT give you an acurate picture of your max temp as the card can drop from its max down 10c in 2 seconds, way to fast for you too see.

If your card is running hot and you aren't overclocking, try moving some fans around, make sure all the fans near your video card/cpu are exhaust fans to get the hot air out of your case. Also try diabling Fast Writes as FW is causing a lot of problems for many 6800 owners.

The card is not OCed, and fast writes are disabled. I don't think overheating is the problem, because these texture errors appear in the exact same spot, always, even right when I start the game. But I will do what you say, and see my max temp. Right Now its Idiling at 49 C
