Dolby digital realtime encoder software...?

So I am trying to setup farcry for playing on my hdtv.

I have:

6800GT with dvi out
dvi -> hdmi converter. So far so good.

Now I have optical out on the pc (SFF) on k8t800 pro chipset, however the farcry specs say I need "Dolby® Digital Interactive Content Encoder required for Dolby Digital audio".

This appears to be something for nforce2 chipsets with soundstorm. What can I use (software or hardware wise --> I have 1 pci slot) to get dolby digital out of my optical out that I can hook into my receiver?

P.S: Box is an athlon64 3000+ socket939 with 1GB ram, 6800GT, dvd-rom, raptor 10k hard drive, etc.

you would need a new soundcard for dobly digital...if your not lazy like me then you can just use 6wire input on the back of your reciever. you just need headphone jack to rca converters for this

I don't think there are any add-in cards out yet, but the HDA X-mystique is gonna do this.

Is there some reason a piece of software + main cpu + base optical out can't do this? I imagine this would be very doable with dual core's out.
