Does this mean proper SSD alignment supported ?

I haven't used Acronis, but the linked page is about offset, not alignment, and is correct. If you restore an image that was aligned, the disk will be aligned.
 
I thought alignment and offset were related, if one was good both were, but maybe that is not the case.

I've used Acronis 2011 with a format-backup-restore to migrate from traditional hard drives to SSDs. All were Win7 variations and in each case I formatted the SSD first, then restored the backup image vs. using clone. Each case the alignment came out correct.

When I migrated my desktop from a 64gb C300 to a Samsung 830 I used the same technique and in that case I had to do use a Win7 dvd to repair the MBR on the Samsung on the initial boot up, which I did not when I went from Raid0 velociraptors to the C300.

I have yet to see a posted a success story of a clone of an OS (with any backup tool) on a traditional HDD that was not aligned (correct termonology?) to a non formatted SSD and have the SSD's alignment come out correct.
