Does the SE7525GP2 require ECC?

I've been doing some motherboard searching, and was wondering if the Intel SE7525GP2 requires ECC, or if it will work with non-ECC memory.

Any ideas?
 
So it requires Registered ECC in order to run?

I only ask cause I got ahold of some Dual 3.4GHz Xeon's, but could save myself a few dollars if I didn't HAVE to use Registered ECC.
 
If you are trying to save money on a workstation get a ASUS PC-DL motherboard, that doesn't require registered or ecc RAM.. (and should only cost about $180 for the MB)

If you already have that MB, sell it, or get the Registered and ECC ram that it requires. (must be both registered and ecc) If you are building a server, I do recommend ECC ram. (registered as required)

These are 3.4GHz w/ 800FSB.

Works fine. edit: that is overclocked, and I can not find official confermation, but it should work.

Well, this sure changes things.

Do I get a Dual Xeon 3.4GHz on the ASUS PC-DL (which I'd have to confirm works) or get a 915XX Intel board for free and run it on a P4 540.

I got the processors; but the Intel board's are free. The Dual Xeon Intel board is not possible, mainly cause the memory would be too much.
