Does overclocking the the FSB affect the chipset?

This may be obvious, but it's not to me..LOL...but are the chipsets, like the nforce4 ultra designed to run at 200 mhz, so when you OC the motherboard/cpu are you also OCing the chipset and is it getting hotter? I ask mainly because I took off the loud active cooler on my board and put the Zalman passive chipset cooler on (with AS5) and it's a hot little sucker...much, much, much hotter than the SI-120, on an Opti -165 at 290mhz. I have good case vent, dual Nexus 90's in and the Tri-cool 120 out on low, plus the PSU fan on an Antec P150. My Epox MB EP-9npa+ultra shows system temps at 85F usually, but I cant tell where that is being measured.

Ocing the FSB causes the chipset to do more work, increasing it's heat output. You might need to direct some airflow over that HSF, especially if it's passive (albeit a very powerful passive HSF).
