If i leave my AA and AF on all the time, i get errors while playing video, but as soon as i turn it off, it works fine, is this normal?

AA and AF shold have nothing to do with video playback?
In my PC it's dosn't matter how my AA/AF settings are, it dosn't influence my video playback.
But what card/driver do you use? :)

BFG 6800 ultra pci-e. I've tried MULTIPLE drivers, like 3 or 4 different ones, and ran driver cleaner after each one of them. Currently running the 76.44's. I think it seems to only do this when i'm running an app that has the java active on my system. Perhaps i need to reinstall java or something

Hmm...
I have experince some strange effects of Sun's JAVA engine on my system too...but not in video playback..it's more in CPU-load/screen refreshing...
But why why would you run a JAVA-app when watching video?

well like limewire enables the java runtime environment, and so does my torrent client while i'm downloading something. Interesting that i think it didn't start happening until sun java did an auto update to it's newer java client, and now i think this one has some problems

Could be...I never liked Sun's Java client..seems more CPU demanding and sluggish than the Microsoft client...

I don't hink you can get the MS client anymore...not offically
Besides it's not being updated anymore, so it could be a major sercurity hole...

Your welcome...even if I don't feel that I could contribute much though :)
But this is what the [H]ardforum is for...getting helping and talking about the stuff that makes us tick ;)
