Does everyone install the IDE SW driver when installing nforce driver?

On this fresh format i didnt install the "IDE SW driver" when installing the nforce 6.53 driver package, to test why my system wont boot after the nvidia 71.89 driver is installed. Now guess what, if I dont install the nvidia IDE SW driver, the system boot great after the 71.89 graphics driver is installed? What the hell is going on here? What is the main purpose of the Nvidia IDE SW driver?
