I am thinking of setting up a software raid 5 box for media storage. I currently have 6 maxtor 200gb drives, but 2 of them are in a current raid 0 that's full. What I want to do is set up the raid 5 with 4 disks, and then copy the data over, and then add the last 2 disks using online expansion. Does anyone know for sure if the win2k3 software raid 5 will allow that?
