Do RAM sinks do anything?

I just got done modding a 9800 Pro to a 9800 XT with a BIOS flash. I slapped a VGA Silencer on it and it works great. One thing though is that the RAM is ungodly hot, you can't touch it for more then a few seconds. Would RAM sinks help as far as preserving the life of the card or don't they really help? I don't plan on OCing further.

they usually dont do too much but can help a tad for heat when you are o/cing alot.
and if you have a fan blowing over them its much better.
but one of the reasons the ram is so hot is that the core heats up the entire card and make the ram hot.
watercool the gpu and the ram will be much cooler.

Yeah water cooling's not really an option. I'll probably throw a fan card in there.

i meant the watercooling part to prove that the ram itself dosnt cause all the heat.
but anyways, get some OCZ or frozenCPU copper BGA ramsinks and a vantec card cooler.
