i'm working on a mod and i cut this connector off along wit these lil resistors.... do u think they r needed?

Did you find that thing in roswell, by any chance?

1. What did it come off of?
2. What is it?
3. Are they needed for what?

is that the plug from the PSU that allows you to plug another device into the PSU (female end)? The pic is hard to distiguish on what it really is....

Its the kind of plug thats on the back of the PSU that the main power cable from the wall connects to

You definately need a power connector SOMEWHERE, and the cleanest way would be to solder wires onto that and have that on the back of the computer, with wires running to the power supply's new location

The little capacitors and resistors on there shouldn't be NECESSARY, but im also sure they don't hurt

You will probably want to keep that little setup togehter and just run wires from that to the PSU's new location

that is the female power connector for a psu, where you plug your power cable into. Im guessing he needed to move that for the mod (either totaly enclosing the psu, or needed to move the plug, and mount it some place elce)

my answer is.. Im not sure, I dont remember what that is and what its there for but I'll say this, if it was there to begin with, and there isnt one on the other end, then yes leave it there, but im sure you can move it down the line, so if you rather have that someplace elce it should be ok, though i could be wrong, hopfully some one here will know a little better than I,

so whats the mod your doing???
