Do fans usually come with a case?

Okay, I have the Ahanix Platinum XP case that I bought a little over a year ago, and I'm finally getting around to building now. It's still boxed up in my sister's garage, so I have to run over and get it today. I bought all of my equipment already, so I'll just list that here...

Asus K8V SE/AMD64 3400+
(2) GeIL Ultra 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 40)
ATI ALL-IN-WONDER 9700Pro
NEC Black IDE DVD Burner ND-3520A BK
WD Caviar SE SATA150 80GB HD
WD Caviar SE SATA150 250GB HD

My only question is - fans.

How many should I buy, and do they attach to the case? Sorry for sounding like such an idiot...several things I've just never been exposed to, like building my own monster.

I also have to get a power supply for it...I'm playing with the calculator now.

You should be fine with one intake fan mounted in the bottom front of your case and one exhaust fan mounted below your PSU. If your case has more mounting spots then you could put fans in them but try and keep some airflow happening. Air comes in at bottom or side air leaves at back or top.

Yes, you should be fine with one intake fan mounted in the bottom front of your case and one exhaust fan mounted below your PSU. But my question to you is that what are you going to do with the system? Games? Work? or......? If you are a gamer I suggested you to get more than one intake fan, because when you are a heavy gamer heat will produced and you won't be liking that. So I suggest you if you are not a gamer or not at least have
2-3 fans in computer. Also, to have a decent PSU (Power Supply), because when it heats it your computer it sometimes Shut Down the computer itself. I suggest you to have at least a 420W PSU! That should be more than enough.

Okay, after some discussion, I'm going to get two intake and two exhaust fans.

If I didn't look at the specs for these fans 12 times, I'd feel stupid about asking this, but how do I know which is which (intake/exhaust)? Are they the same, and I just turn it over to flow in the opposite direction?

There will be a little set of arrows on the edge of the drive, like this:

showing which way the fan spins and which way the air goes. Easy to use, once you figure out which edge has them on it.

Most fans blow air out the side with the brackets the hold up the motor. (for lack of a better term)

So I am correct in assuming that each fan can either be intake or exhaust, depending on which way it is facing?
