Re-posting my other thread, as half of my questions are answered and the title is miss-leading.

I am considering purchasing a WD60C9, that is a 60" DLP to use as a Computer Monitor.

Here's my question: How do they compare to your average LCD monitor (TN Panel)? Sharpness, especially - but over-all. Any other notes appreciated, too.

And if you have experience, how do they compare to Samsung 40" LCD? (i.e. B550, C630)

Thanks.

DLP does not make good pc monitors. I have a DLP 46" television and it's absolutely fantastic for movies and TV viewing, but for pc use, it's not that great. Sharpness of text is bad compared to an LCD.

You left off in the middle of your other thread and are posting the same questions here, this stuff is frowned upon because it confuses (and annoys) everyone who was trying to help, leading to less participation ;)

I posted a bunch of questions that you never answered, questions that will help us help you.

Is Plasma monitor good for pc computer?

No .. you'll have bad burn in for sure after alittle while. Some people convince themselfs its not so bad but I've seen more than a few plasma sets used as PC monitors and unless you want bright ghost images that never go away buy a large LCD if you plan on PC usage. Plasma sets are amazing for TV , Movies and Games but for general PC use they are quite bad.

there is a reason most manufacturers have stopped making dlps and the 60 inchers are at deep discounts. your resolution is also going to be limited to 1920x1080, so not sure why you are thinking a fuzzy 60'' image is going to be better than a crisp 24'' image. If you want to use it to play games then go for it. keep in mind also that the thing is going to be pretty deep, the images you see may be misleading in that regard.
