Hey.

I have seen some pics of peoples cases that have done etchings in their windows themselves. Aside from having a laser, how do they do it? Is it some chemical process?

Thanks.

i read a post by a sweed the other day. he had amazing dremel annd artistic talent. He would dremel the surface of the plexi. then he painted on clear UV reactive paint foor his cathode tubes to light up.

I've used 2 methods. In either case mask off the window with 2 or more layers of masking tape and cut out the are to be etched with an x-acto knife. From there you can either sandblast the plexiglas or simply sand the area with medium and then fine sandpaper, clean off the dust, then spray it with frosted glass spray paint to make it look smooth. This second method is what I used on this case and it came out great.

I always just did the etching with my dremel and the #107 etching bit. I have some pics of my etch's and I'll post them later tonite after i get home from work.

Tailin, your cutouts are great, you have any words of advice (sorry for the hijack Baby Lamb)
