DIY subwoofer?

I have three krk rp6 g2. i bought a broken one to use it for parts. so now i have an "extra" casing. would it be possible to some how convert it into a subwoofer that i can hook up to my KRKs?
 
You mean build a sub into the housing of a krk rp6 g2?

I mean, you could try, but it probably won't go lower than a regular rp6.
 
Yes, But you will need a strong 6 inch woofer like a long throw tang band and a dedicated amp.
 
Tossing a woofer and an amp into a box does not a subwoofer make. You might as well spend $30 on e-bay for a ghetto sub box and then toss any old driver/amp in it. It will probably go lower than anything you cram in that rp6 enclosure. Even with a top of the line woofer/amp, that box is not tuned for low frequency extension.
 
But elongating the port will give it a lower frequency. Or mounting passive radiators to the side.

Anyways technically speaking yes its possible but there are easier things.
