Is there a guide thats recommended for setting up a nas that works with RAID 5?
I was looking at the synology but they're quite expensive

mostly storage----very very big files and I'd like to get above 150MB/s

Well if you want a NAS then you'll need to bond the nics in order to get that speed. I would also go with RAID 6. If the video files are that big then you'll have a relatively large chassis to hold all of that, which means lots of drives. In addition, I would probably do a software based solution for this.
