What's the deal with DisplayPort? Seems like it hasn't come out yet with Nvidia Geforce. Is it slow adoption, or just never going to catch on?
 
Its not really mainstream yet but hopefully it will replace DVI and the ancient VGA port. Some benefits that I can think of off the top of my head is that its royalty free and is a lot more versatile than other digital media interfaces. I read an article the other day that was talking about being able to "split" a single port into 3 displays and how it will effect the market (with eyefinity etc).

I wouldn't point your finger at Nvidia for not putting it on their card. Its up to the board partners to add display ports.
 
it will catch on.. just dont expect to see nvidia using it any time soon.. but i would expect to see display port take over in the next 3-5 years just because its an open standard unlike HDMI which has to be licensed to be used by any company on a product.. theres really no reason to use HDMI anymore when display port can do everything HDMI can if not more and doesnt carry a royalty fee..
