display issues...is it dying? help please?

im having problems with my display. problems i have noticed over time are:
slight flickering
*power light blinks fast (nothing being displayed)

*all of a sudden i get a boot screen showing something about Flatron Technologies(i have two of these and the other one doesnt showing anything when i power it up just goes straight to my desktop and theres nothing in the menu to enable/disable this)

*no dvi display but displays over VGA. when it tries to detect on DVI the power LED just blinks like crazy.

i have fixed a monitor with a bad cap that didnt display anything but only had a standby light/power light. but in this case i dont think its a bad cap (or could it) since it displays fine over VGA

Could be a Bad Cap thats on the DVI input side. My sister had this problem where she could only use VGA then after a while it died also. Pulled it apart and there were 3 bad caps, it was obvious one of them was on the DVI input. Damn cat got to it before I could swap caps, she chewed the ribbon cables on the inside so I could no longer fix it.

thats what im thinking...i dont know if i should fix it or just sell it with the problems since i just bought a new monitor. either way i wont need this one regardless if i fix it or not.

anyone know how to open a LG L204wt i cant seem to find any screws or maybe clips to prop it open like other monitors ive opened.

ok took it apart....found NO blown caps. unplugged the cables and plugged them back in, assembled everything back up. and now it works again!?! detects a dvi signal now
