Disk read failure

Every time i boot up, i get Disk Read failure, insert system disk and press enter.

The only way i can boot up is inserting thw winxp cd, rebooting, then it comes up.

Any solutions/suggestions?
 
you didn't say that. Boot of the xp disk, load up the recovery console and enter 'fixboot' and 'fixmbr' (I believe those are the two commands)
