I get that error after installing Win XP Pro 64 Bit on This Hard Drive....and i Have Vista 64 on Another Hard Drive (I Didnt Partition it or anything, they are sperate drives)

They are Both OEM Seagate 320GB Sata 16 mb Cache

Also, When i use Seagate Disk Wizard, The Drive w/ Vista on it shows up just fine as Logical......but it says my other drive (XP Pro) is unsupported.

are they both plugged in at the same time? Pretty sure that wouldn't work.

im basically dual booting...like Vista on Drive C -----------and Xp on Drive E..........they are 2 seperate HDD's

Just had that error on a sata 320Gb 7200.10 Seagate. I couldn't even get the XP CD to run a repair attempt. The Dell HD analyzer says the disk is failed, code 7 (whatever that means). I ran Drive Fitness 4.10 on it and got another failure msg. I took it to a local shop and they could see it on another system, but said the disk was corrupted.

I'm getting it replaced under warranty. However, all warranty replacements are factory refurbs, according to Seagate.

While you were in windows was the HD visible in my computer......bc mine was and i could put mp3s on it and run them it just wouldnt let me install xp pro on it even when it was formatted........so now im gonna try Formatting both HDD"S so they r like they were new. then im going to install xp on the bad hd and vista on the newer one and see what happens.
