Motherboard Monitor reports temps for both the cpu diode and the socket on my motherboard, they seem to be off by about 10 degrees. Which is the one to look at so I know if I'm too hot? Is this normal?

The diode temps while still compressed, are far more accurate than the in-socket thermistor.

Yeah, I know, I got both showing info. What I'm asking is when someone says to try to keep my cpu below x temp which one should I check that to. Yeah the diode may be more accurate, but if everyone else only looks at the socket for comparison I need to mentaly adjust the temp by 10 degrees or vice versa. Sorry, if this is obvious to everyone else.
