ok, so i'm looking to get a camcorder early next year. and i have a few questions:

should i start researching now or is there some great new technology coming out?

should i look into hd? i have an HD tv and it would be nice to have hd video, but is the hd camcorder technology solid yet?

anyone know of any review sites that give sample video quality?

what storage medium is recommended?

the ability to take decent stills would be nice too.
