I'm about to buy the steelsound 5H v2, I'm still not sure if I should get the usb version or standard. Right now I don't have a sound card so the usb version would probably be best and its a little cheaper, but I will be building a gaming PC in about 2 months and I will be buying a sound card then. My main purpose for the headset is FPS gaming, my question is the usb version better at distinguishing where foot steps are coming from versus soundcard and standard connection, and can you take the usb connector off of the usb version.
