Like the title says....whats the difference between DVI and VGA cables?

Right now I have an VGA cable connected from my dell 2407 to my 8800GTX.

DVI is just what it states - it's a digital video interface. Digital all the way.

VGA is an analog signal. In other words the digital signal from your video card is converted to analog and then back to digital in your LCD.

You REALLY need to hook that system up with a DVI cable. Didn't the Dell 2407 that you have come with a DVI cable?? If not, get one at Monoprice.com

Will do, might not be tonight or later tonight, busy atm, but for sure will post back. :)

Bike versus Unicycle is much better suited.

Unicycle is way better.

Well, I switched it to DVI-D and the colors do look more crisp and brighter, but I dont think anyone would notice if I had switched it to VGA.

Maybe thats just me, but I told my girlfriend to walk into the room and asked her if the monitor looked different. First thing she said was, what did I do? It looks better. lol
