Did my gpu go out??

My rig has the specs in my sig.

I was using it today while it was bitcoins mining (intensity 13). The card is undervolted, underclocked, watercooled, and fans run at 100%

Today while using it the screen literally faded away (think of how a burning paper you are trying to read goes away) in the middle of browsing the Internet.

Is this my gpu or something else?

Thanks

Doug

Is the computer still functional even if the screen goes out? could be bad monitor, check all cable connections, reconnect all cables.

What monitor? Wonder if the back light burned out.

I used to have a CRT that would do that, then come back several minutes later. Probably a display issue.

Actually for me it was a little different. It would suddenly go fuzzy, then zoom at my face and go black. lol.

try a different LCD or a different gpu.

Also, why are you mining BTC with a gpu? it's not very cost effective anymore.

thanks guys.

to my surprise it was the monitor that went out.

What is weird is that the backlight seems to still work as the screen still lights up (its blank but its black)

Can you pull up any of the config menus on the monitor?

If so, try a reset to default?

I had a monitor once that would occasionally lose its contrast and brightness settings, and so would appear completely black.

But I could get to OSD, and a reset would put the monitor back to default settings and clear the issue.
