So I brought my newly built desktop back up with me to where I'm working. I plug everthing in boot it up type the password and everthing is good... I go to plug my headset into a USB on the front and a small static spark arcs from the USB to thr metal on the front of my case! I think well that's not good lol so I go to surf the web and my keyboard or mouse no longer work! ( the mouse is plugged in through the port on the keyboard) so I reboot and try every USB on the machine and it won't detect the keyboard now :(

the keyboard has stopped working before I just unplugged it and plugged it back in it was working avian but no luck this time ><

u think the keyboard bit the dust finally or did I fuck up something on my Moho with the static?

It's possible you shorted out your USB ports when you were sparking stuff. I've done that before... :/

you could buy a cheap pci usb card.. you probably killed the usb header that the front usb ports connect into.. which is probably shared by the ports on the back as well..

Eh I geuss the fact that the lights on everthing USB still work doesn't mean anything? I'm going to bestbuy to get another keyboard to make sure tomarrow.

Wonder if evga would do anything lol
thanks

Well I unplugged the ports on the front from the mobo and the ports on the back are working now! So I guess I fried the little pcb in the case which just gives me an excuse to get my lian li :)

better the cheap case than my classified mobo for sure
