Ok.. on the DS3 gigaybyte board.. there came a special cover ..where.. the cpu socket is. This special plastic piece. can be removed. I put my new cpu in. .. but it won't stay in place.. unless I put that plastic cover clear cover over the cpu. Whats going on is.. the system boots up..
and within 30 seconds shuts down. Suggesting overheating. Do I need that special plastic piece? I don't have a non-intel cooling fan yet.. because when I ordered one.. it was not available. so I have to use the stock cooler. God that cooler is a bitch to install. Any ideas?

The only plastic clear cover I saw with my S3 was to just protect the socket... thats all it does. It should never be put on if you have a processor in the socket, hell, I don't think you can even get it on with a CPU in the socket.

Oh it can get on.. Lol.. trust me.. ITS ok system is up and running now I have to go through the exciting.. installation process. Oh joy.

wow

Yeah well you might want to take that off sometime in the near furture. That was just to protect the socket while in shipment.

Yeah

You might wanna do that.

lay off
not everyone was born with a tube of AS5 in their hand

people have to start somewhere

Take it off before the cores melt the plastic and you get nice toxic fumes in your house.

Roflmao. with the amount of Articooling paste I put on it.. you know what happened to the processor? and the plastic? Nothing. Artic Cooling paste saved my e6300. :)

System is running fine. Currently At work though so more info will be released later.
